ExpressVPN Announced New Version 3.305 for Windows

ExpressVPN has just announced their new version, ExpressVPN 3.305. This software version for Windows has incorporated the automatic protocol selection feature. It also loads faster than previous versions.

ExpressVPN has always allowed free user control over OpenVPN protocols UDP and TCP, L2TP/IPSec or SSTP. The new version, however, makes automatic selection the default for all new installations of the ExpressVPN software. OpenVPN over UDP is still the recommended setting for highest security and best speeds. Unfortunately, this type of connection sometimes gets blocked from the user’s location. With automatic protocol selection, users don’t need to trouble themselves with testing different protocols. The software can automatically select the best alternative connection when the default is blocked.

Manual selection is of course still available under the same “Options” tab. The best connection may vary from country to country and at different times of the day. Those who prefer to play around with their VPN protocol settings can figure out what works best for them specifically.

To upgrade to ExpressVPN 3.305 today, run the app and click “New version”. The software will upgrade automatically and begin scanning for the best available protocol for your location.
