iVPN Windows Client Beta

iVPN just launched their Windows client last week. The software is in beta version, but is available for testing on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 and 8. The client has a neat interface where users simply enter their login information, choose their server and protocol, and click connect.

iVPN has gathered a lot of feedback from its subscribers and integrated their requests into the new Windows client. Now that it is available for testing, iVPN is calling on all interested subscribers to have a go at it and let iVPN know what they think about the beta version. iVPN wants to keep improving its services, so this feedback is important for them to be able to address any subscriber concerns before the final version comes out by February next year. If you are a new customer, you can first read more about iVPN and other top providers for more information.

For now, the Windows Beta client already has a few features that improve subscriber security. The software blocks any connections to the internet if they are not running under the VPN. It also updates automatically so you get the latest servers instantly, although subscribers will have to download software updates.

A tab on the interface at startup allows users to easily set up how they want the software to behave, like opening on startup, minimizing to the tray, and so on. Subscribers can also set the software to connect to the last server they used by default. The setting to connect to the server whenever an active Wi-Fi hotspot connection is detected is especially useful. Subscribers can also enter additional proxies and ports. If a subscriber is located in an area where the default protocol is blocked, the built-in proxy can be enabled to hide your VPN server connection. This protects subscribers from being detected by filters as using a VPN. All iVPN UDP/53 and TCP 80 singlehop servers are also available to all subscribers.
